There is a closed lane and slow traffic on the A1(M) near Welwyn and Stevenage this morning after a crash involving multiple vehicles.
Police said the crash happened on the northbound stretch between Junction 6 for Welwyn and Junction 7 for Stevenage at about 8.35am, shortly before the Stevenage exit, and involved four vehicles.
Officers and paramedics are on the scene.
Traffic England indicate they expect the incident to be cleared by 10am, with normal traffic conditions to return by 11am. There are delays of about 20 minutes against expected traffic.
We are awaiting further updates from the emergency services.
