A spooky Sandy celebration as town marks Hallowe'en

Witches, zombies and grizzly ghouls from every tomb were on the loose in Sandy over the weekend as the town marked Hallowe'en.
Staff and customers at Fallowfield and town centre Co-op stores dressed suitably for the occasion, with one member of the team in Kestrel Way apparently having an axe stuck in her head – and staff at THSP Risk Management also got in on the act.
Parents took to social media to tell the world how much they had enjoyed the spooky celebration – with one member of the ‘Sandy, Bedfordshire’ Facebook group dubbing the house on the Winchester Road cycle path ‘the best Hallowe’en house by far’.
Another thanked the people of Fallowfield, writing: “It was the first time we’ve taken our four-year-olds out trick-or-treating. I was amazed at the effort and kindness shown.”
One dad paid tribute to the good behaviour of all the kids who had visited, posting: “Every single one was so polite and well-behaved and paid some lovely compliments about the decorations. That’s the only reason we do it every year. Hope you all had a very happy Hallowe’en, good people of Sandy.”
