A COUPLE celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary said their advice for a happy marriage is to remain good friends.
Bill and Jean Warwick, of Walsham Close, Stevenage, met at The Royal dance hall, Tottenham 60 years ago.
Bill, 82, told The Comet he knew he was going to marry her as soon as he saw her. Jean, 79, was soon won over by Bill's romantic gestures and found herself falling head over heels in love with him.
Bill believes the key to a happy marriage is that they are good friends.
He said: "It is all about give and take but it is more important to give than take."
They have been living in Stevenage for four years and have two children and seven grandchildren.
The couple are looking forward to celebrating their anniversary with a party for friends and family.
