HITCHIN Girls’ School sixth form pupils were celebrating this morning (Thursday), as 99 per cent of grades at the school were A*-E.
A quarter of all grades were A* and As, half were A*-B, and 78 per cent were A*-C.
Headteacher Frances Manning said: “We are very pleased with our results. There’s been a lot of personal success stories this year.
“The students are pleased. It’s a difficult year because of the situation with university places, but on the whole it’s been good. Most have got their places at university - there were lots of happy faces this morning.
“Most of our students will now go to university, but we’ve got a few going into employment and some taking gap years.”
