Shefford over 60's Coffee Morning Club, with a host of others, celebrated the life of Eric Gray today, firstly at the Norse Road Crematorium, followed by the celebration of his life with a massive turn out, at Shefford Methodist Church. With the Shefford Community Hall kitchen closing in February, the club holds its Wednesday morning gatherings with soft drinks available with the refreshments. However, some preferring their regular brew plan to bring flasks while the kitchen renewal takes place. All applaud the progress made by the management team who have transformed the dingy, rain soaked hall into the bright, warm and modern facility it will be when finished. Well Done! The funds they have raised is phenomenal. The club is seeking an active member to take over the refreshment bar management. The clubs' activities for the year are in the planning stage with venues and dates available soon. Looking ahead, the club holds a raffle on February 14, Valentines Day. Prizes for this will be welcomed by the Fundraising Team prior to the date.
