A woman in her 20s assaulted by another female customer at Tesco’s Baldock superstore suffered a cut nose and swelling and had her iPad broken in the car park confrontation, say police.

They are appealing for witnesses and information in the wake of the attack, which happened at about 6.35pm on Friday, January 22.

PC Josh Wilson, who is investigating, said: “Two men in a vehicle reportedly stopped and intervened during the incident and I am keen to trace them as soon as possible.

“If this was you, please get in touch. I would also like to hear from anyone else who witnessed what happened.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Wilson via the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference G3/16/43.
