BABIES and toddlers chattered their way to raising over £500 for charity last week.

They were from North Herts Sing and Sign groups and were Making Chatter Matter in aid of I CAN, an organisation that helps children with communication disabilities.

Little chatterboxes were sponsored to practise and perform nursery rhymes, songs and baby signs.

Their clothes were all themed along seafaring and underwater lines, and Sing and Sign teacher Alex Ide was thrilled with the day's success.

She said: "It was a really lovely day and we were packed out."

The fancy dress winner was Luke Woodward who was kitted out in an octopus outfit.
