£5000 for youngsters

A GRANT of over £5,000 has been awarded to a charity which helps local children and young people. Hertford Road Commu-nity Centre, based in Bragbury End, Stevenage, received the money from the Local Network Fund which aims to improve outcomes for children

A GRANT of over £5,000 has been awarded to a charity which helps local children and young people.

Hertford Road Commu-nity Centre, based in Bragbury End, Stevenage, received the money from the Local Network Fund which aims to improve outcomes for children.

The fund is administered locally by the Hertfordshire Community Foundation.

Centre manager Vera Fegan said: "We are delighted to receive this grant which will make a big difference. In particular, it will help us to continue with workshops for children aged 5-11 years through the school holidays."
