A �300,000 refurbishment of a Baptist church will be unveiled when it officially reopens its doors tomorrow (Saturday).
Tilehouse Street Baptist Church in Hitchin has undergone a series of upgrades to its interior and is holding a celebratory afternoon to mark the occasion.
Richard Whitmore, writer, BBC broadcaster and Hitchin resident, will open the ceremony at the 260-year-old listed building at 2pm.
A short film by the Hitchin Historical Society will then be shown, documenting Tilehouse Street's past, with a short celebration service from 4pm to 4.30pm.
