A driver had hot coffee thrown over them during an altercation on the A1(M) in Letchworth.
At around 1.55pm on Wednesday (August 12) the driver of an Audi A6 "undertook" a Kia Picanto and suddenly braked.
This forced the Kia to stop in a live lane on the busy road.
The Audi driver then reportedly threw a cup of hot coffee over the Kia driver before making off from the scene.
The incident happened just after the junction 9 southbound slip road.
The suspect was described as a tanned man and aged approximately 50 years old with big glasses, a moustache and appeared small in height.
