An appeal has been launched after an alleged stabbing in the car park of a town's football club.
It follows an "altercation" involving three men in the car park of Hitchin Football Club, into Fishponds Road and onto Butts Close.
The incident occurred at around 11.50pm on Friday (June 26) and the victim, a man in his 30s, suffered stab wounds.
He was rushed to hospital where he currently remains.
Police have urged witnesses and those with footage of the incident to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Samantha Casey, who is leading the investigation, said: "I am appealing to anyone who was at the Football Club or anyone who was in the area at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch.
"Any information you have could help us progress this investigation."
