Arrest made after woman injured in Stevenage pub attack

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of GBH after another woman was left needing hospital treatment following a pub altercation in Stevenage.

The incident occurred on Saturday, May 30, at around 9.15pm in the garden of the Marquis of Lorne in High Street.

A woman in her 40s was allegedly assaulted by another woman after trying to intervene in an argument, sustaining an ear injury that required hospital treatment.

A woman aged in her 20s has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and is currently on police bail whilst enquiries continue.

Detective Constable Laura Thomas, who is investigating, said: "I am appealing to anyone who was in the pub at the time and saw what happened to please get in touch."
