Two teenagers have been arrested after an assault in Hitchin left a 17-year-old boy with facial injuries.
It follows an altercation which broke out between a group of people in Ransoms Recreation Park, on Nightingale Road, at just before 4pm on May 23
A woman in her 40s was also reportedly threatened with a knife.
Two 17-year-old boys, both from Kent, were arrested in connection with the incident and released on police bail pending further enquiries.
Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.
Investigator from Herts police, Harry Jacob, said: "We are continuing to establish the full circumstances of this incident and are asking anyone with information to please come forward.
“I understand several people were in the area at the time, including a member of the public who attempted to break up the altercation. If you have any information, please report it."
