Voting has now opened in the Mum's guide to Hitchin awards, with winner set to be announced before Christmas.
Following hundreds of nominations, the awards the voting phase has begun and will close at midnight on Sunday, December 14.
“Last year's awards completely blew me away — the response from the community and the number of nominations were incredible," said Mum’s guide to Hitchin website manager, Lucie Bell.
"This year I can't wait to shine an even bigger spotlight on all the amazing local businesses that make family life in and around Hitchin so special.
"Hundreds of people have taken the time to not only nominate their favourite local businesses that really go above and beyond; but many have left truly heartfelt reasons for their nominations, and it’s great to see a whole host of new businesses making the shortlist this year."
Winners will be announced before Christmas in the following 10 award categories:
- Best Activity Class or Group for Under 5s
- Best Activity Class or Group for School-age Children
- Best Holiday Club or Class
- Best Pre/Post-natal Support Service
- Best Lifestyle Service for Parents
- Best Party and Celebrations Provider
- Most Family-friendly Café/Restaurant
- Best Local Shop
- Best Local Event
- Best Family Day Out
