A music festival held in Hitchin has applied to increase capacity to almost 8,000 people as part of plans for "year-on-year growth".
The Noughty 90's Festival is held at Hitchin Priory in Tilehouse Street, and attracts plenty of fans keen to celebrate the 1990s and 2000s.
Organiser Events Runway Ltd has now submitted an licence application to North Herts Council to increase the capacity of the show to 7,999.
If the variation is approved, two four-day Noughty 90's shows could also be held at the venue.
"The nature of the proposed variation will be to add retail sales of alcohol to the current licence as this was not ticked on the application when it was updated last year," the application reads.
"This would then bring both our licences for the site to similar operating times and hours and would allow, if needed to have two shows at the premises both up to four days long to include live music, recorded music and retail sales of alcohol to our customers."
The application also made assurances about the sale of alcohol and said the decision to look to increase capacity was made as part of plans for "year-on-year growth".
"There will be security enforcing the over 18 aspect of the event and monitoring child protective legislative aspect," the application continues.
"All staff servicing alcohol will be trained in Challenge 25 and will also be trained in logging refusals. A dedicated medical team will be on site throughout our show hours.
"Stages will be positioned to help reduce noise pollution from the site. The event site and egress point will be well lit. We intend to grow this festival year-on-year."
