Splash parks across North Herts are set to reopen for the spring season.

The four parks in Baldock, Hitchin, Letchworth, and Royston will open daily from 10am to 6pm, starting on Saturday, May 3.

They will remain open until Sunday, September 7.

Alan North, greenspace service manager at North Herts Council, said: "We’re excited to be coming into the splashpad season, we know they are popular throughout the district.

"We just hope we keep this lovely weather."

The park kiosks in Hitchin's Bancroft Recreation Ground and Letchworth's Howard Park will also be open, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks, and ice cream.

Mr North added: "Bancroft and Howard Park are great places to welcome spring with a hot drink and perhaps a treat, whether you’re taking the kids to the park or are just going for a walk."

The Letchworth Lido is also set to reopen on May 24.

It will remain open until September 7.

The Hitchin outdoor pool will open on May 10, with cold water until May 23.

The normal season will run from May 24 to September 7, with cold water again from September 8 to September 21.
