Outline planning permission for a new housing development on Green Belt land in Todds Green, near Stevenage, has been granted.
The proposed development on Old Chantry Lane will see five large detached houses built, each with at least four bedrooms and two bathrooms.
Each house, described in the planning application as "aspirational", will have two off-road parking spaces, and electric charging facilities.
A new access road will be built off the main road.
The 0.55 hectare of land, to the south of Chantry Farm, is currently used for grazing horses.
No affordable housing is expected to be included in the proposed new development, as it is not required for developments with fewer than 10 properties.
Last year, planning permission was granted for 17 homes on a brownfield site close to the proposed new development, which had been home to Courtlands Riding Stables since 1977.
