The location of GAIL's bakery in Hitchin has now been revealed after a planning application was submitted to make changes to the unit.
A posting on the popular bakery chain's website confirmed that the company are looking for staff to help open a new store in Bancroft.
A planning application has now confirmed that GAIL's will be taking over 16 Bancroft, which is currently under offer and has stood empty since former tenants Monsoon moved out.
The plans have also confirmed that, if approved, alterations will be made to the shopfront, with new paint, signage and a retractable red fabric awning proposed.
There are also plans to use space at the rear of the unit for outdoor seating.
GAIL's currently has sites in St Albans, Harpenden and Redbourn but no presence in Hitchin or neighbouring Stevenage.
The chain has long been a hit with customers since opening its first bakery in London back in 2005.
GAIL's now has over 100 branches and is showing no signs of slowing down - announcing plans earlier this year to keep expanding.
No official opening date has been confirmed, and when The Comet approached the bakery chain for comment, a spokesperson said they had "nothing to share at the moment".
