A driver who failed to stop for police before crashing into the central reservation on the A1 has been taken to hospital and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
The collision happened at around 3.50pm yesterday (Sunday, September 8), just south of Biggleswade.
A black Volkswagen Golf, with stars sprayed on it, collided with the central reservation after it failed to stop for police further south. No other vehicle was involved.
The driver was taken to hospital. He has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving.
Police officers would like to speak with anyone who has any information or dashcam footage of the car from around 3.25pm when it travelled north from the Barnet Bypass.
