A man in his thirties says he has been left "very traumatised" after two masked men tried to rob him in Hitchin, and then assaulted him in broad daylight.
The incident happened on Friday, June 28, when police were called at around 9pm to reports that a man had been approached on Windmill Hill by two males wearing balaclavas, who had attempted to rob him.
A spokesperson for Herts police said: "The suspects attempted to take the victim's bag before striking him in the face and causing ABH level injuries to his nose."
The victim told the Comet: "I am very traumatised by the fact I was attacked in broad daylight trying to watch the sunset in peace and harmony."
