A motorcyclist has died after being involved in a collision with a car on the A10 on Saturday.
The crash between a motorbike and a VW Golf happened on the A10 southbound, between Rush Green and Great Amwell, just before 7am.
Officers attended the scene alongside the ambulance service, and road closures were put in place in both directions.
Sadly, the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.
Sergeant Nicholas Kane, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: "Our thoughts are with the man’s family at this extremely difficult time."
The police are now appealing for witnesses, information and dash cam footage.
Sergeant Kane said: "We are currently working to establish the circumstances around what happened, and are appealing to the public for their assistance.
"Did you see the collision, or the events leading up to it? Were you travelling in the area at the time and have a dash cam fitted? Please review your footage, as you may have captured something which could assist with our investigation. If you have any information at all, please get in touch."
