A driver has been caught by police speeding at 101mph on the A505 at Baldock.
The driver was spotted while police officers were conducting 'Fatal 5' high-viz checks on Saturday.
The 'Fatal 5' road safety campaign seeks to reduce careless driving, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, excessive speed and distracted driving, including mobile phone use.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire police said: "This driver was caught at 101mph and was very dismissive of the police being so proactive in enforcing excess speeds on a high casualty route.
"The driver has been reported and is likely to receive a disqualification."
