A man aged in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a missing 74-year-old woman from Stotfold.
Annette Smith, of West Wing in Fairfield Hall, near Stotfold, has not been seen since on or around November 11 last year.
Bedfordshire police confirmed last week that they were treating her disappearance as murder.

They arrested the man yesterday (Tuesday, April 30) and he is currently in police custody for questioning.
Det Ch Insp Katie Dounias said that police "are still very much in the midst of this complex investigation."
Anybody who may have information related to the investigation is asked to call 101 and speak to the Major Crime Unit, quoting Operation Broome.
