“Several” people have been taken to hospital after a minibus and a Ford crashed on a motorway.

Herts Police have confirmed that no fatalities have been reported after they were called to the M25 at 5.07am today (March 9).

The two vehicles, a Ford C-Max and a minibus, were in a "serious" crash when travelling anticlockwise between junctions 22 and 21.

“The stretch of road remains closed at this time whilst the vehicles are recovered,” police said.

“We kindly advise motorists to please avoid this part of the M25 and check your journey before travelling as surrounding areas may be busier than usual.”

Traffic is being released from the rear of the queue. There are knock-on delays in the A414 as motorists avoid the road closure.
