GoVolHerts is hosting a virtual volunteer fair for Hertfordshire residents to learn how they can make a difference in their community.

North Herts and Stevenage Centre for Voluntary Services (NH&SCVS) created the GoVolHerts project, which provides a free online platform for searching available volunteering opportunities in Hertfordshire.

The virtual volunteer fair is free to attend, and takes place from midday to 2pm on Wednesday, February 28.

To sign up go to https://forms.gle/Dtb9ByYzXNefcWZs9 or email the team on info@govolherts.org.uk.

The fair will include mini-talks and presentations by North Herts and Stevenage Community Transport Service, Isabel Hospice, Celtic Harmony Camp, Hertfordshire Health Walks, Caudwell Youth, Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, Family Action, The Theatre Shed, St John Ambulance Service and Welwyn Hatfield CVS.

Tatiana Campos, volunteering development lead at GoVolHerts, said: "We’re inviting everyone to attend our virtual volunteer fair, from the comfort of their own home or office.

"There will be lots of information from 10 local organisations and an opportunity to ask questions directly to volunteer managers across the county.

"Our website has over 500 volunteering opportunities available and 320 organisations registered, so this event could be the start of a volunteering journey for many people!"
