A woman has reportedly been punched while walking her dog in Letchworth.

The lady was out with her pooch on The Common, Cowslip Hill, at around 7.45am on Thursday, February 1, when she became involved in a verbal dispute with a second woman.

The dispute escalated, and the second woman - who had two dogs with her - reportedly punched the first woman. A police spokesperson said that no injuries were sustained.

Herts police are now appealing for any witnesses or anybody with information to come forward.

The woman who reportedly threw the punch is described as white, aged around 48 with brown shoulder length hair. She was wearing a blue knee length puffer coat and brown knee high boots. The dogs she had with her were described as a white/yellow Labrador type and a brown spaniel type dog.

PC Gracie Robinson, investigating, said: “I’d like to hear from anyone who witnessed this incident or who has information about it to please get in touch.
