The remains of a cannabis factory have been found fly-tipped in North Herts.

Police officers were on patrol in rural Hitchin on Thursday last week when they were informed that more than 25 full black bin bags had been dumped at Diamond End - between Peters Green and Breachwood Green.

Officers attended and a closer inspection revealed the bags contained items believed to have been used as part of a cannabis factory.

PC Natasha Redman, of the North Herts Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: "We’d like to hear from anyone who was in the Diamond End area last week and noticed anyone acting out of the ordinary, or any suspicious vehicles, to get in touch.

"If you were driving in the vicinity and have a dash cam fitted to your vehicle, please do check it for any footage which could help identify those responsible."
