More than £20,000 has been raised through an annual Christmas tree recycling initiative by Garden House Hospice Care.
The scheme saw more than 1,000 Christmas trees from residences, schools, and businesses around North Hertfordshire collected and shredded by volunteers.
It also provided an opportunity for communities to dispose of their Christmas trees in a sustainable way.
Head of business development at Garden House Hospice Care, Erman Housein, said: "The service offers a real sense of community from start to finish - from removing the hassle people face of disposing of their Christmas trees and offering an environmentally solution, to funding our vital care and providing chippings for use in our own gardens."
He added: "This is our most successful year of Christmas treecycling yet and we are confident that it will only continue to grow next year as more people come to know about it."
