Mariah Turkson, a 17-year-old from Stevenage, has been named as a finalist for Miss Teen Great Britain.
The competition, run by Pageant Girl, awards those who show dignity, courage, intelligence, creative talent, and kindness.
After being selected as Miss Teen Hertfordshire, Mariah will now attend a "Grand Final" in Chorley, in July 2024.
The winner of the competition will receive "incredible prizes" including a cash sum.
The 17-year-old said: "I am so excited to be representing my county in such an exciting event.

"Currently, I am researching charities in Hertfordshire who I can support during my reign as Miss Teen Hertfordshire."
