Staff at Specsavers Letchworth raised more than £1,700 for hospice patients with a non-stop cycling challenge.
The opticians borrowed an exercise bike from a local gym, and the team cycled for eight hours outside the shop while dressed in disco clothes.
They also held a bake sale and a competition to guess how many sweets in a jar.
Money raised will go towards Garden House Hospice Care, which provides specialist palliative care for patients, families and carers facing life-limiting illnesses.
Stephanie Rich, manager of Specsavers Letchworth, said: "We chose this charity as it is very close to our hearts.

"Two colleagues’ parents received end-of-life care at the hospice, one earlier this year and one last year.
"Seeing how the loss of their parents affected them, but also how highly they spoke of the hospice and the care they received there, motivated us to raise as much money as we can for them – and we will continue to do so in the future."
Harry Folgate, a volunteer from the hospice, added: "I’d like to say a huge thank you to Stephanie, Ellen, Chris and all the team at Letchworth Specsavers for raising such an incredible amount of money for our charity. "
