Knebworth retirees celebrated diversity and inclusion with an Asian culture day.

Homeowners and retirees living at Lowe House in London Road welcomed Mayor of Harrow Cllr Ramji Chauhan to join in the celebrations.

Guests sampled Asian-inspired dishes, learnt how to wear a saree, and tried out some henna - drawing inspiration from the diverse community that surrounds the retirement living development.

Mayor Cllr Chauhan said: "I was delighted to be invited to Lowe House for its Culture Day and see diversity and inclusion being brought to life in this way.

"It was great to have the chance to meet with all the homeowners and their guests, and an absolute joy to be a part of the celebrations here in Knebworth."

Sam Watkins, divisional sales and marketing director for McCarthy Stone - which runs Lowe House, added: "Supporting and engaging with the communities close to our developments is a key focus at McCarthy Stone, which is why we were thrilled to welcome retirees from across Knebworth to join us in celebrating Asia’s rich heritage.

"This is just one of a series of social events taking place at Lowe House, which have been designed to reduce isolation in older people and showcase the vibrant, inclusive, and social community we have here.

"We look forward to welcoming more homeowners to the development and seeing the community flourish."
