A man from Ickleford has been fined £50 after he broke a domestic violence protection order just days after it was put in place.

Anthony Desmidt, 29, of Turnpike Lane in Ickleford, admitted that he had breached the conditions of the order.

The order had been granted when the case came before St Albans Magistrates' Court on Thursday, November 16.

Just five days later, on Tuesday, November 21, Desmidt visited an address in Stevenage, despite the order banning him from doing so.

The case was then brought before Hatfield Magistrates' Court on the same day, and Desmidt was fined £50 for breaching the order. He was also ordered to pay costs of £85.
