Business owners in the Old Town and their employees are able to receive discounted parking under a new scheme.
Stevenage Old Town Business and Community Partnership (SOTBCP) has organised the 20 per cent discount for its members.
Standard season tickets for the Primett Road South and Church Lane car parks cost £636 per year, but they will now be available for £508.80 per car. If used every week day - this means that parking would cost less than £2 per day.
It is hoped that the scheme will encourage business owners and their employees to park away from the High Street, freeing up spaces for their potential customers.

Yearly membership of SOTBCP is free for individuals, £25 for businesses with one to nine employees, and £50 for businesses with ten or more employees.
The season tickets will run from December 1, 2023 until November 30, 2024, and must be purchased by November 1, 2023.
