Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey North Thames has launched a Community Chest competition, offering the chance for good causes to win £1,000.
People in Stevenage are invited to nominate local groups, organisations or individuals they think are most deserving of a helping hand by October 13, when a winner will be selected.
Perhaps the money could buy some much-needed new equipment, or go towards a personal fundraising challenge.

Sales manager Rozita Gharavi said: "We really want to recognise those who are going above and beyond to make a difference. If you know a worthy cause in your area, we would love to hear about them."
Email the name of the nominee, along with a brief description of why they have been nominated, to BuiltForStevenage@taylorwimpey-pr.co.uk. Only one email per person will be counted.
