A community running group which welcomes members of all ages and abilities is celebrating its second anniversary, having recently signed up its 3,000th member.
Mike Bullock and his partner Susan set up Spider Runners in Fairfield in September 2021.
Mike explained: "We’ve both been fortunate to have taken 30 years of great experiences from the running community, having run over 350 marathons and ultra marathons between us, so we decided to give something back.

"We are absolutely passionate that, whatever your ability or your background, you will be welcomed. We absolutely don’t care what speed you run, you’ll always be welcome."
Spider Runners organise free running events around the country, "always somewhere beautiful", Mike said, with guided trail runs each month, and every run finishes at a cake shop!
