Pop star Kim Wilde has revealed details of a strange UFO sighting in the skies over her Hertfordshire home,  following the US Congress hearing on unidentified flying objects.

Speaking to Andy Collins on BBC Three Counties Radio, Wilde recalled her close encounter, which took place in the skies over her Codicote home in June 2009.

She was sitting in her garden with a friend after spending hours in a hospital with her son, when she said she noticed "this extremely bright light, behind light cloud. I'm a great moon watcher, and it definitely wasn't the moon".

"I saw the light make this incredible move, a zigzag move across the sky - from say 11 o'clock to 2 o'clock, then back to 11 o'clock," she continued.

"I had a sense that whatever was there were very large. I had a sense of momentum for some reason.

"That went on for a few minutes and then it just completely disappeared."

Wilde's experience was similar to that of former US navy fighter pilot Ryan Graves, who spoke about his UFO experience at a landmark panel House of Representatives panel on UFOs.

Much like the pop star's Hertfordshire sighting, Graves described seeing a mysterious flying object that moved at "supersonic speeds" in "very erratic and quick behaviours".

"I've observed that, that's what happened in my garden," Wilde continued.

"It happened silently and within a split second was right across the sky and then back again. And that happened for several minutes.

"These are like the top elite military personnel, they have been there for decades. So it wasn't just an '80s pop star who may or may not have been on the Pinot Grigio in her garden."

Wilde was so struck by her UFO experience that she titled her 2018 album Here Come the Aliens, and she believes further revelations about aliens will follow.

"I'm convinced in my lifetime that there will be some phenomenal disclosure especially information from Mars. Hold on to your seats, everyone."
