A 48-year old woman from Stevenage has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving and assaulting an emergency worker following a road traffic collision in Letchworth yesterday (Thursday, July 11).

Herts police were called to Northfields at around 7.15pm, following reports that a Mini had collided with two parked cars, a Suzuki and a Ford.

No injuries were reported, but the woman involved was taken to hospital to be assessed.

She was arrested on suspicion of:

  • Driving a vehicle while above the legal limit for alcohol
  • Common assault of an emergency worker
  • Using threatening/abusive words/behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress

The woman has since been released on bail while enquiries continue.
