The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across Hertfordshire today (Tuesday, June 20).

The warning is for heavy showers and thunderstorms between 1pm and 8pm, with driving conditions affected by spray, standing water and, potentially, hail.

Trains could also be impacted by the expected weather conditions.

Temperatures are expected to remain high throughout the day, peaking at 26 degrees and falling to 23 degrees by 8pm this evening.

The pollen count remains "very high", and is expected to remain so across the entire weekend in Hertfordshire.
