A man was spat at and racial slurs were used during a recent verbal altercation in Letchworth.
The incident involved two men, and took place in Bedford Road shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday, May 25.
Hertfordshire police have described it as a public order incident, and have released images of a man who they believe was in the area at the time. They are appealing for anybody who recognises the man to come forward.
PC Laura Bruckner, of the Safer Neighbourhood Team at Hertfordshire Constabulary, said: “The man in the image was thought to be in the area around the time of this incident and may have information that could help with enquiries.
