A Stevenage shop that was forced to close earlier this year has reopened in Baldock.

Monkey's Emporium, which sells vintage toys, collectables, comics and gaming items, was previously situated at the indoor market in Stevenage town centre.

But its owner, Daniel Emery, had to close up after takings and footfall decreased.

Now, he's reopened the shop at 31a in Whitehorse Street in Baldock, with its grand opening held on Saturday, June 3.

Monkey's Emporium will be selling the same range of wares as before, while adding a retro arcade. For £3, customers receive 30 minutes of playing time on multiple machines with over 30 games, and the arcade can be booked out for parties and private sessions too.

Daniel will also be hosting monthly 'swap shops' going forward.

Monkey's Emporium is open Tuesday to Thursday 11am-7pm, and Friday to Saturday 10am-6pm.

To make the shop as accessible as possible, private viewings are available by appointment for anyone who requires them.
