With temperatures rising and flowers bursting into colour, Spring has arrived in Hertfordshire.

With that, another May bank holiday is around the corner, taking place this weekend (starting Saturday, May 27).

Containing a double zip wire, play tower with tunnel, slide and climbing wall, Harwoods Adventurous Playground is one of the top-rated Watford activities on TripAdvisor.

The location has a 4.5 star rating, with one reviewer describing the location as a "wonderful adventure playground for local kids".

Nicholas H continued: "This is a wonderful free public facility close to Watford Hospital and the Vicarage Lane football stadium."

2. Escape Hunt, Atria Watford

Escape Hunt, in Atria Watford, is an escape-room centre which also has VR experiences and outdoor 'City Hunts'.

The location won a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award for 2022, with 287 of the centre's 342 reviewers giving the location all five stars.

Mahisha K said: "(We) Definitely would recommend, and will be back very soon."

3. Enigma Rooms Watford, High Street

Enigma Rooms, in Watford High Street, has a five star rating on TripAdvisor.

All of the escape room centre's 40 reviewers gave it top marks, with James H writing: "The puzzles were tough enough to keep you interested but not too tough to stop it being fun.

"The hosts were fantastic making everyone feel welcome.

"Will be back to do the other rooms."

4. d20 Board Game Cafe, Queen's Road

The d20 Board Game Cafe, in Queen's Road, has a five star rating TripAdvisor.

80 of the location's 89 reviewers gave the location all five stars.

Michael F said: "Brilliant atmosphere, really chilled out vibe.

"Nice to see something different, and a great selection of food and drinks."

5. TeamSport Indoor Karting, Bushey

89 of the centre's 126 reviewers gave it top marks, with Amit T writing: "We had a really good family experience.

"This was ultimately down to the staff - they were friendly, helpful and patient - especially with my 8 year old on his first time."

6. Glow in One, The Parade

One reviewer, Robee, said: "Absolutely brilliant.

"Everyone there was so nice, Pavan helped us with our axe throwing and he was so encouraging as well. Very fun time."
