A visit to Norwich Market offers a chance to take a culinary trip around the world.

But what are the must-try dishes?

From empanadas to bubble waffles, here are seven dishes to try that are sure to satisfy your tastebuds.

1. Donburi bowls at Bun Box

Bun Box serves up Japanese-inspired street food ranging from bao buns to ramen. 

But the donburi bowls are a particular favourite of many visitors.

Georgie Taylor said: "My must-try is the pork donburi. It is packed full of flavour and makes for a perfect lunch option that feels healthy but is still really filling. Add some gyoza as an extra for a real treat."

2. Chana masala at Indian Feast

Indian Feast offers a range of authentic Indian vegetarian and vegan dishes that are hearty and filling while not breaking the bank.

The chana masala is one dish that keeps bringing people back, which is a type of chikpea curry.

Sonya Duncan said: "It is spicy, delicious and really cheap. While not being vegan, whenever we go to the market a visit to Indian Feast for its chana masala is a must."

3. Empanadas at Cocina Mia

Cocina Mia is known for its Chilean street food dishes and its empanadas - a Cornish pasty-like savoury pastry filled with yummy flavours - are perhaps what it is best known for.

It is a hearty meal and it can also be enjoyed alongside a range of salads and goes particularly well with some spicy salsa. 

4. Bubble waffles at Hi Thai Bubble Tea

Bubble tea vendors seem to be popping up left, right and centre at the moment.

Hi Thai, has been running for several years and offers a number of sweet treats such as moon cakes.

But it is the bubble waffles, which are served wrapped around scoops of ice cream, that are a favourite of visitors.

And of course, it is best washed down with a bubble tea. 

5. Rice bowls at Fresh

If you are looking for something healthy and filling then Fresh is a great place to go for your lunchtime fix. 

Its rice bowls are a must-try for reporter Tom Swindles, which come loaded with a variety of protein options and veggies, making for a "guilt-free yet delicious lunch".

6. New York deli-style sandwiches at Bodega

Put that supermarket meal deal down and get yourself a proper sandwich from Bodega.

Serving New York-inspired deli sandwiches that are packed with fillings, you are sure to not go hungry.

A must-try is the 'Bring in the Katz', which features pastrami, Monterrey Jack cheese, sauerkraut, pickles, rocket and 'Big Deal's secret sauce'.

7. Giant sausages at Banger Stop

A sausage is a humble food but one market stall makes every order into a theatrical experience.

It is a must-try according to reporter Casey Cooper-Fiske, who always visits The Banger Stop for his sausage fix.

"What makes it a must-try is the use of a blow torch to caramelise the sausage and toppings," he said.

"It is really affordable and delicious."
