Half term is almost upon us, providing a break for the kids to refresh and rejuvenate after school.

But maybe parents are struggling with finding family-friendly activities to entertain your kids. We can help.

It’s a great time of year to get out and explore Hertfordshire. We've compiled a list of some fun activites for you to enjoy.

1. Church Farm

Church Farm in Ardeley is a not-for-profit community interest farm.

Their aim is to enhance the countryside, provide people with special needs the opportunity to learn and grow, conserve wildlife and farm ecologically.

The farm is open for day visitors from 9am-5pm every day. 

You can plan a visit and go goat walking, lamb bottle feeding, and enjoy a different camping experience.

2. Campus West

Every day between Tuesday, May 30, and Sunday, June 4, there will be extra roller skate disco sessions at RollerCity.

You can also watch The Little Mermaid and Spider Man: Across the Spider-Verse, on the big screen or enjoy an unlimited soft play session with your little ones.

3. Murder Mystery Escape Room

From Wednesday, May 31, to Sunday, June 4, you can have a go in a “whodunnit” escape room around the beautiful grounds of the watermill.

You can race against time to solve the crime for £25 per person, which includes admission to the Mill and Museum.

Welwyn Escape Rooms held a Christmas themed escape room last year which was very popular among residents, and it is sure to be a thrilling time this spring as well.

4. Self-Guided Heritage Walks and Treasure Hunt

From £7.49 per person, you can discover some hidden gems in the heart of St Albans with two self-guided heritage walks with a treasure hunt theme. 

You can find answers to addictive clues, learn about the majestic cathedral with the longest nave in England, and discover how St Alban met his grizzly death.

5. Willows Activity Farm

Willows Activity Farm is the perfect place for children between the ages of zero and eight.

From multiple children's farms, parks and playgrounds, to petting zoos and zip lines, you are sure to find an activity for your child to enjoy.

As well as meeting all your favourite farmyard animals, you can discover fantastic funfair rides, bounce high up on inflatables and trampolines, and you’ll get the chance to meet Peter Rabbit and his friends.
