The Hertfordshire estate is known for hosting huge rock concerts by the likes of Liam Gallagher and Oasis.

But opera will be the musical offering in the grounds of Knebworth House next month.

Wild Arts return to the gardens of Knebworth House on Thursday, June 8 with a new opera evening show for 2023.

This al fresco 75-minute performance is a mix of opera and musical theatre, featuring Rossini, Handel, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Tchaikovsky, and Sondheim, as well as music from West Side Story, The Marriage of Figaro, The Barber of Seville, and many more.

Featuring up-and-coming operatic stars from the world's great opera houses and a virtuoso quintet of fine musicians, Wild Arts' Opera Evening is a must-see for all music lovers.

Wild Arts is a new company founded by conductor and cellist Orlando Jopling which takes world-class opera to beautiful venues across the UK each summer.

"We're thrilled to be bringing our Opera Evening to Knebworth House," said artistic director Orlando Jopling.

Visitors are welcome to arrive from 6pm to set up their picnic on the lawn - picnic rugs, tables, chairs, and hampers are all welcome.

The performance will start at 7pm and there will be a picnic interval. The show will finish at approximately 9pm.

Tickets are priced at £35 per adult, or £10 for under 18s. Or buy six tickets for a discount.
