Volunteers clearing rubbish, weeds and debris from the pond in Stevenage's Town Centre Gardens also fished out scooters, traffic cones and even a computer monitor!

On Tuesday last week, Green Space Volunteers helped cut back overgrown vegetation in Fairlands Valley Park and cleared the pond in the Town Centre Gardens.

"They found some interesting items, including scooters, traffic cones and even a computer monitor," said a spokesperson for Stevenage Borough Council.
