The Settlement in Letchworth is hosting a talk this week on the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Writer and Cambridge University teaching fellow Dr Vitali Vitaliev is set to speak at the Settlement in Nevells Road, to provide an informed perspective on the latest position in the war.

Dr Vitaliev, who is also a Settlement tutor, said: "It is hugely important not to lose sight of the situation in Ukraine in 2023 and of the wider implications.

"At the Settlement we will have a chance to talk about things and gather our thoughts."

Dr Vitaliev will use his understanding of the motivation behind Russia's actions, and the event will include a question and answer session for attendees to probe this and other relevant areas.
