Visitors to one of the city's top attractions can now access it via a lift six months after it was damaged.
The glass casing of the external lift at Norwich Castle was damaged in November, putting the well-used amenity out of action.
A section around the lift was smashed, leaving a large hole - subsequently filled with a wooden board - which saw public access restricted.
The damage came as a multi-million pound revamp of Norwich Castle's keep is taking place at the Grade I listed building.
Repairs began in February, two months after the lift first went out of action.
A spokeswoman for Norfolk Museums Service confirmed that the lift has successfully been in operation for a number of weeks following checks to ensure the mechanism is working safely.
She added external repairs are ongoing and "good progress is being made", with the replacement glass ready to go in.
A timescale for the ongoing work is yet to be determined.
