A children's shop in Letchworth has won a Hertfordshire-wide business award.

Tutti Frutti, owned by Ali Ribchester, won the award for 'best parent run business' at the Little Ankle Biters Herts Awards 2023.

After a period making clothes at home for family and friends, Ali started her business in 2016 when she decided to sell the clothes she made at local craft fairs and farmers markets.

Since then, her business has gone from strength to strength - she has previously won awards at the Theo Paphitis Small Business Sunday Awards, and the Loved By Parents Awards.

Ali originally ran her business from home, but recently opened a shop in Letchworth's Garden Square Shopping Centre.

Her aim is to bring better made organic and sustainable children's products to the town, with available items including handmade clothing, wooden toys, and fairly-made baby products.

Ali said: “I am thrilled to have been won in these local awards. Opening a shop was a big risk – especially in the current economic climate.

"The local Letchworth community have embraced my new shop and made me feel really welcome on the high street. To win at these local awards is really lovely – I can’t wait to see what is next for Tutti Frutti!”

You can visit Ali in the Tutti Frutti shop at 12a Central Approach in the Garden Square Shopping Centre, or find her online at www.tuttifrutticlothing.com.
