"We’re looking forward to working with the local traders and the people of Letchworth to deliver a fun-filled year that puts Letchworth on the map."

Letchworth BID's Punit Shah said: "We are delighted to welcome Richard Harbon as the new manager of Love Letchworth.

"It’s fantastic to have such an experienced, respected and well-connected person steering Letchworth town centre’s future.”

The appointment of Richard Harbon comes after the organisation's former manager was jailed for attempting to smuggle drugs into prison.
