One of the most recognisable and most photographed properties in Stevenage has been put up for sale.

The Tower House, built in an arts and crafts style, was designed by local architect and historian Edward Vincent Methold in 1895, forming a cluster of similar cottages close to the corner of Church Lane and Walkern Road within the Old Town Conservation Area.

Detached from its neighbours, The Tower House sits behind a black and white timbered exterior embossed with the original build date and Edward's initials, with the iconic brick-built conical tower enclosing the internal staircase and giving the cottage its unique appearance.

The asking price is £450,000. Call Putterills on 01438 316846 or email for more information and to book a viewing appointment.
